Latest Updates from Our Project:

You Choose!
over 4 years ago – Tue, Aug 27, 2019 at 01:43:28 AM

Hi all!

So we've reached $100,000USD - that's awesome!

Because of this, we're going to be able to support <one> additional platform for the Q1 2020 release.

BUT... we need you guys to help tell us which one to choose! Vote now!

 https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CVL7G9P

Whichever platform polls the highest when the Kickstarter campaign ends will be released alongside the Switch version in Q1 2020, and you'll be able to choose which digital game key you want in the post-campaign surveys. So get behind your (additional) platform of choice and make it happen!

If we don't hit the $150k stretch goal, then the platform that loses the poll won't be available Q1 2020, but we will look to supporting it in the future. This means that that platform will <not> be able to be selected as your digital game key option, in the post-campaign surveys, unless the $150k stretch goal is met!

HOWEVER - all money spent in our post-campaign add-ons will now contribute to the $150k stretch goal - so if we fall short of the stretch goal but sell enough shorts, the third platform will be unlocked.

Get behind us, spread it around - and all of those people sitting on the fence waiting for the PS4 and Xbox One stretch goal, pledge now!

Cheers!

$100,000!
over 4 years ago – Mon, Aug 26, 2019 at 12:17:24 AM

S'truth! Did you see this? Amazing. Thank you all for your support. Over $100,000 has now been pledged to bring TY the Tasmanian Tiger to consoles!

Since we needed $50k to bring TY to the Nintendo Switch, some people have asked what are we going to do with the extra funds. Well, we were thinking a massive block party. Hop on one of those red kangaroo airplanes and come over! Just kidding.

Of course, we want to bring TY to the other consoles too. And with your help, we will, it's just a matter of when.

When we hit the $150,000 stretch goal, we can commit to launching all three platforms in Q1 2020! How can you help get us there? Like and comment on posts, share them on your social media channels, and use the hashtag. Everyday new people are re-discovering TY the Tasmanian Tiger, thanks to you!

Switch Pre-Pre-Alpha build
over 4 years ago – Fri, Aug 23, 2019 at 07:08:18 PM

We're super pleased to show you this early Switch motion control test form the pre-pre-alpha version! It's early days and there's a lot of bugs to work out but we think you'll agree it's pretty exciting.

Our resident game-ologist takes a look at the thrilling world of Nintendo Switch controls as used by the new TY the Tasmanian Tiger port.

Check out this video to see it in action.

Here we see a Krome Studios employee, in his natural environment. Well rested and fueled with coffee, he is ready to begin his day.  First, he shows his dominance over the joycons, by inserting his hands through the straps.

Dominance established, he begins his first move. Slinging out his hand in the direction of an enemy, he throws a boomerang at a frill, knocking it senseless. Delighting in his new found power, he does it again, and again, mainly because more frills were nearby and to show off that each hand controls one of the boomerangs.

His thirst for boomerang slinging quenched, he uses the analog stick to move closer to his objective. Running... running... he jumps off the edge of the cliff, and begins to glide by holding down the jump button. Tilting the joycons in each direction, he skillfully glides down to the platform, landing with ease.

His hard work for the day done, the Krome Studios employee now carefully packs away his equipment, and tucks the joycons in to bed.  Waving goodbye, he leaves the office, ready to come to work again, another day.

Stretch Goal 4 Unlocked - A NEW Comic unfolds! PS4 and Xbox One Stretch Goal info

PS4 and Xbox One Stretch Goal Update

Time to keep on pushing to the next stretch goal - PS4 and Xbox One support! For the PS4 and Xbox One we'll be looking at the game having full achievement and leaderboard support, so you can all have bragging rights as to who can complete the game the fastest, beat that time attack in record time, and earn the most achievements! At this point, we're not looking at these features for the Switch version as our efforts are dialed-in on an awesome boomerang throwing and gliding experience.  Additionally, with the extra power of the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, we'll be looking at getting the game running at 4K! It already runs at 4K on the Steam version, check out how purty it looks!

DOOMERANGER!

When we last left the gang at Bush Rescue at the end of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 they thought they had saved Southern Rivers once again from Boss Cass’ usual evil plan. Because that’s what they do.  But the little country town of Coolarangah has its peace shattered by the arrival of a new dangerous enemy on a quest to find the legendary… DOOMERANGER!

“Domeranger picks up the story of Bush Rescue just as everything in Southern Rivers goes south and more Down Under! We get to meet old friends as well as some awesome brand-new characters.” says TY co-creator “Space Captain” Steve Stamatiadis who will be writing and drawing this new story.  In addition to the cover art, see below for some of Steve's new character art.

With the comic, we'll also be including the three new Cubees: Shazza, Sly and Boss Cass!
